Shoes on shoes on shoes. Everyone has been wearing some form of slip on shoe this spring and summer and not only because they look amazing, but they also scream for super chill and comfortable feet. Of course, most girls – me included – love our heels but looking down your feet and seeing blisters or the signs that are left from them makes putting on a flat pair on slip on’s like walking on cloud nine.
For me, especially attending the European Fashion Weeks and with that walking through many streets made of cobble stone, stiletto heels are not the perfect match. Seriously you Ialien girls, I don’t know how you do it!!! (some advice please if you have!) Also the runways were covered with less height on the heel and more platform and sandals which made me think of putting this post together. Anything from sporty to elegant was paired with flat shoes and especially the different kinds of slip on I am about to present to you:
ONE | Mules
The backless loafer is THE IT-PIECE for your feet. Gucci especially making this a must have for male and female fashionistas and many other brands following suit with similar designs. The Gucci Princetown Fur Loafer is especially eye catching. Though super awesome, but not everyone can spend 500-800 Euro on a loafer, so I have pulled some very similar and very affordable pieces! I myself found a super awesome pair of Jonak Paris loafers which you can see here.
TWO | Pantolettes
The Pantolette, to me this is such an old school word and it seems like my mom or grandma wore these when I was growing up. But as we know some trends just keep returning and this may just be one of them. A mostly fat-heeled shoe that is again backless. While most shoe trends especially for summer have been much sleeker and slimmer, the flatform and pantolette bring in some variety into our show options! Gucci again did the “metallic crossover sandal” which will probably look familiar but so many other designers are offering the chunky sandal!
THREE | Sporty Slip Ons
A definite go-to for running errands, travelling and just being out and about. The comfort of the sneaker type shoe while being majorly trendy. I recently bought the Miu Miu cap toe slip on’s, which I had been eyeing for a while and finally found the exact ones I wanted…. and on sale!
xx,
