It is no secret that I am low key obsessed with Annakiki and her designs. Over the last couple of seasons I have had the pleasure to be attending the shows in Milan and wearing some of the pieces to Paris Fashion Week as well.
As for the new collection for Spring/Summer 2020, it is less loud but so bold in its cuts. Unexpected for me as the muted colour palette, a trend which I have been noticing all through the collections as well as street style.
So great to get caught off guard and surprised for a show. The unexpected is what keeps things interesting. I cannot wait what is to come for Annakiki.
In the previous collections we had seen a lot of all over print, and maximal layers and accessories - this season the styling is way toned down which makes the pieces and entire collection a lot more wearable. I love the suiting, for men and women of course as well as the feminine yet "very extra" dresses. You can almost feel a little vintage vibe, the theme is about a girl who lives in 2080 and travels back in time to 1980. This is captured very well, even though no one knows what 2080 would look like.
It's always such a thrill to be able to attend these energetic runway shows in the fashion capital of Italy, and I definitely do not take it for granted. Stay tuned for more Milan Fashion Week updates!
