Aria Hotel Budapest
Hungary
It is so good to be back in Europe, especially the Eastern European countries had stolen our hearts on previous travels through Europe. To no surprise was Budapest a glorious place to visit and the cherry on top was of course, the Aria Hotel Budapest and our 3 day stay in this, five-star, Top Rated Hotel on TripAdvisor for many years and the Conde Nast Travellers Choice Award Winner for 2018. Of course we could not contain our excitement but we also wanted to see what all the talk was about and how the Aria Hotel Budapest does things.
The hotel lobby felt cozy, yet lux and featured a grand piano - which is actually used every night for life performance while complimentary wine and cheese is serves - yes you heard right! I love Boutique hotels with offerings of a grand hotel, and this was exactly how the Aria Hotel Budapest felt for me! The concept for the entire hotel is all around music, and you are stepping into the lobby on tile that looks like piano keys. There are 4 different genres of music featured throughout the property, Classical, Opera, Contemporary, and Jazz, and each genre has its own wing and rooms.

Classical Room
Stepping into the room, Classical music was already playing, setting the tone for the entire experience. The colours chosen were blues and browns which was calming and classic. The room features a king size bed, sitting area which a sofa, a fireplace, mantel and desk. The bathroom was completely marble and has both a shower, big tub and a beautiful vanity and big enough for 3 people to get ready at the same time.
The most amazing features in the room for me was that the window opened all the way and looking out was the European beauty.. But moreover, the candlier was handmade from Venice as well as the chic violin carpet that tied the musical concept together!
A great feature in the Hotel is the spa area which is open to everyone. Of course you can elect to purchase treatments like facials or massages but included in our stay is the pool, whirlpool (which is so so good after a long day of walking and exploring!) and three different steam rooms. It was so calming, and just the perfect ending to each and every single day for us. It is rare that we take advantage of the saunas but at the Aria Hotel Budapest, it was a real treat.
High Note Rooftop Bar
Isn't that name so fitting? I love it, and I know you will too! Not only does the Bar/Restaurant feature amazing drinks inspired by music and film, it also offers delicious food throughout the day! Since the Aria Hotel Budapest is so well situated (literally next to St. Stephens Basilica!) it has an amazing view over the entire city and the Basilica. It looks like a postcard to be sure to bring your camera and lots of battery! It was breathtaking and I would highly recommend a drink or two a High Note!
All in all, I am still speechless about how amazing the stay at Aria Hotel Budapest was and all the small details that go into making an experience extra ordinary. Each staff made our stay so memorable with kindness and always a smile! Each morning there was complimentary breakfast (made to order) and the day we check-out was a very early morning for us. The hotel staff made sure we had a breakfast to-go and it was so delicious and amazing.
