Fairmont Gold
Fairmont Royal York
Fairmont Gold has arrived in Toronto. After having the pleasure of experiencing Fairmont Gold at the Calgary Property, Fairmont Palliser we were excited to finally have this exquisite experience in Toronto. Fairmont Gold, imagine the golden star of the Fairmont that you already know. As mine and the Fairmont Royal York's birthday are just one day apart, it felt right to celebrate together.
The Fairmont Royal York now has just over 100 suites dedicated to the Gold Wing. Each suite is beautifully and tastefully renovated in a modern way with a lot of classic elements. Each suite features a foyer, living room and dining space, which could easily be a working station. Walking through a door which is separating the spaces you enter the large bedroom and the highlight the 4-piece marble and gold bathroom.
The separate spaces make the suite feel like a home away from home and are ideal for anyone (trust me) but especially for travellers who want to "settle in" or bigger groups that enjoy a little privacy while travelling. Fairmont Gold is not only this gorgeous suite, there are many more perks to this extraordinary stay!

Gold Suite
The oasis of the Fairmont Gold Suite is the large bathroom. The marble and gold design is beyond dreamy but I am in love with the state-of-the-art Skinjay shower system. The essential oil capsules help set the tone for the upcoming day or evening and you can choose between 4 different moods. Unwind, rejuvenate, invigorate in the shower with 100% natural essential oils.
Besides the wonderful essential oils, the Le Labo toiletries are always a dream, especially in Fairmont's signature scent Rose 31. If you have not had the pleasure of experiencing this scent, you are missing out!
Fairmont Gold Lounge
As the perfect spot to celebrate mine and the Fairmont Royal York's birthdays - they are just one day apart, Fairmont Gold provided everything to make that day special. The Fairmont Gold Lounge on the 18th floor overlooks the Toronto Harbour and allows you to day dream over the first-class breakfast, which is only one of the many "Gold" perks. The Lounge is always accessible to Fairmont Gold guests and is filled with drinks, treats and snacks throughout the day. It is perfect to celebrate an occasion because not a lot of planning is required, everything is always accessible and we definitely took full advantage of all the delicious creations throughout the day. The canapés from 5-7 pm, which is more like a selection of a warm meal is served with beautiful wines, so plan for it! It is also a great working space, or a great spot for drinks with your group of friends or fellow travellers.
Among many new dining options that are open or will be open very shortly, we choose the Library Bar for dinner and as always it was delicious. We have spend many evenings here and I have fallen in love with the cocktail list and French Onion soup. The classic feel almost transports you back in time where people watching was the "scrolling on Instagram".
Stay tuned for new and beautiful Clockwork, and Reign - more to come on that topic!
