Sea Breeze Beach House
Barbados
The Caribbean has been high on my list after travelling a lot to and in Europe and after visiting for the first time in January, I knew I had to go back as soon as possible! This time around, the beautiful island of Barbados was on the agenda and I could not be more excited to share all my impressions and experiences with you. The island life is truly one I could see myself living day, and thus I always love visiting small islands just like Barbados, because you can truly get to know a lot about a place in a short amount of time.
We stayed at the Sea Breeze Beach House - which truly deserves its name, not to forget the amazing sandy beaches, and turquoise water! The newly renovated all-inclusive resort is an absolute dream for foodies, families and romantics. The entrance area is open to the back and right away you can feel the breeze from the ocean (I understood right then where the name came from!) and see the beautiful turquoise water. The check-in process is accompanied by a rum punch, which is just so refreshing and delicious! Immediately I took notice of the relaxing atmosphere and friendly people around.

SUITE OFFERINGS
Sea Breeze Beach House has recently undergone a major renovation project. The entire resort's main focal point is the "beach house" in its centre which features 2 restaurants - the Cerulian and Aqua Terra (more on these later), which are both a la carte dining options with delicious offerings. There are two different room categories, Classic and Luxury Collection Suites (for this option, kids under 12 stay for free!).
Additionally, almost all of the rooms are ocean facing, which for me makes all the difference. I love having my morning coffee and practicing yoga on the balcony overlooking the sea and listening to the sound of the ocean. The remaining rooms are pool/bay facing which is still pretty great! Our Luxury Suite was beautifully furnished with accent colours of grey and turquoise (which was the same as the colour of the ocean when you looked outside), with a sofa (convertible to a bed) and sitting area, desk and a bathroom with a giant shower featuring a rain shower-head.
EVERYDAY DINING OPTIONS
Each day, delicious breakfast & lunch buffets were hosted in the Mahogany Restaurant, which only opened last month and has gotten its name by the trees that were previously in this spot. The Mahogany wood is now being used throughout the restaurant and the story is just beautiful. If you are not a fan of buffets, I have great news, you will LOVE this one! The chefs at Sea Breeze Beach House have done such an exceptional job of keeping the food items to a limit and rather focusing on quality! Each day, every item I tried, was truly amazing. I have not been able to say that about a buffet ever! The items always change and are always fresh.
SPECIALITY DINING OPTIONS
Since Barbados is so heavily influenced by Britain, of course afternoon tea is a must! The tea is served in the Beach House near Cerulian overlooking the garden with coconut trees right in front of you. A selection of sandwiches and cakes is served along with the tea and it feels so British yet so tropical!
Of course we had to try the property's a la carte dining options: Cerulian and Aqua Terra! Cerulian is located in the main building and offers "international cuisine", which was outstanding! The goat cheese and watermelon tower and 2 hour beef was amazing and I wish I could eat it every day. Aqua Terra's focus is on seafood, and it was actually my favourite! Delicious Sushi to start, Red Snapper with truffle potato and a sweet and delicious chocolate and caramel tart to finish off a delightful meal.
POOLS & RUM SHOP
The resort features 3 different pools and 2 beaches. With only just over 100 rooms, this is impressive! There is definitely always room for you to relax, and we never had to set an alarm to "put our towels down" to save a spot. One of the pools is an adult-only space, which is great if you just need a super relaxing day. Each pool is serviced with drinks to quench your thirst.
The Rum Shop Cafe is a cute hut that serves amazing drink caffeinated drinks, of course made with rum! Rum is, of course, a specialty in Barbados and is produced locally, so this is truly a great spot for a midday break or an evening experience.
DEPARTURE LOUNGE
The Sea Breeze Beach House has separated the arrival and departure area. The departure lounge is equipped with bathrooms and showers (in case your flight leaves late and you have the day to swim and enjoy beautiful Barbados), a bar, a reading corner and it is furnished with chairs made out of airplane materials, as well as comfy couches. Relaxation until the very end!
The property has paid so much attention to detail, to its interior, and to creating a truly exceptional experience for all of its guests. We seriously had an amazing time taking in the Bajan culture, food, sea breeze vibes, and the overall island mentality. Can't wait to return!
