The location of the hotel was incredible, only a quick walk from Arc de Triumph and Champs-Elysees, but we also ventured out and took a stroll to famous St.Honore, Opera district and even the Eiffel Tower. While the location is super walkable, the hotel is also on the main route of the Bus line and only a few steps from two different metro lines. In my opinion the Metro is the quickest mode of transport in Paris and it is cheap with each ticket only being 1,90€!
After visiting Paris a few times previous to this trip and having very mixed experiences with our stays, it was a refreshing and pleasant surprise to arrive and being welcomed with open arms at the boutique hotel Champs-Elysees Friedland. The small front desk and welcome area felt cozy and we were right away greeting with French macaroons - which was a sweet treat after our journey and spread a bit of the French flair that we were longing for. The same area was also equipped with a coffee/tea machine from which we were able to get unlimited hot beverages, this is a rare find in Paris!! I loved the “Honesty Bar” as well, a drink could be poured and the money was just put into a small jar, as the name says, on the basis of honesty!
Bonus: The hotel offers a shared Airport shuttle for 18€, which picks you up from the hotel and drops you off at CDG. In the past we have tried the taxi (which is crazy expensive and not very regulated) and the Roissy Bus (which is 12.50€, and departs from the Opera). The bus is a great option but if you are not staying close to the Opera district and need to take the metro to the Bus departure location it can be quite the task to lug your suitcases up and down the metro stations (no elevators!!). If you travel like I do, which usually isn’t very light, you will get a work out :)!

...it truly made us feel like home with amazing comfortable beds, coffee & tea in the room, fast wifi and a gorgeous and clean bathroom! The room was a great size and featured a working and seating area to accommodate all our needs. The room was styled in a very homey way with books, a globe and beautiful art pieces. My favourite part was the balcony on which we enjoyed wine and charcuterie more than once.
