A definite highlight of Milan Fashion Week was being dress in HUI and attending the HUI SS19 presentation showcase. The beautiful pink ensemble I was able to wear caught the attention of many in Milano and brought some happiness to people's day. The bright pink is such a happy colour and seeing by-passers smile at me and even take some photos made my day too.
HUI is a brand with more traditional values,
a brand that combines delicate and indicate
handwork without compromising on fashionability.
The Asian roots have a definite presence in each design but with the new collection for SS19 especially, I see futuristic touches. There are silver metallic non-organic fabrics used, see through mesh fabrics and iridescent materials used in combination with thick cotton and the straw visor hats. I personally am drawn to the mix of these fabrics and styles and always think it is a beautiful combination and keeps a look interesting.

The influence of the Asian culture is very much present in the collection but is offset with a futuristic approach to fashion. Simplicity yet a range of materials make the collection and each look interesting and diverse.
The styling is absolutely beautiful. My favourite is the kimono that is styled in a nonchalant way - half off! I do have to speak to the colour scheme, and for whomever has been reading my blog for some time knows that this was an absolute dream palette for me! Neutrals, no blacks... gorgeousness throughout! Watch my Milan fashion Week Vlog for some of the fun.
