The creative industry is looked at in many different ways and a lot of people ask me how I got here, working full time as a content creator. I have to tell you, it is so much fun being creative and doing what I love, but it can be challenging at the same time. I am not complaining whatsoever because I know whatever job you have, or whatever you do in life, it can be challenging - BUT mostly I want to share why I love my job so much!
T
I LOVE FASHION, always have and always will. From back in the day, putting together outfits just for fun, studying trends and being a "stylist" to my friends, to now being able to actually capture and document this passion inline here on my blog.
It is a style-diary in a way and wow - looking back at what I used to think was fashionable, boy things have changed. I love being able to see the evolution of style and I am so glad it is always changing.
CREATING AMAZING CONTENT: This is something that makes me so proud. And it is not just me being these beautiful pictures and editorial posts, it is a team effort between my husband and I and this is a passion we share - I couldn't imagine doing it without him.

Creating these images and conceptualizing a creative concept is what makes my job so fun. I can really run with an idea and the process is where the real creative brainpower comes in because as you may know, however it may look in your head is sometimes not how it translates in your pictures.
MEETING OTHER CREATIVES: I have had the absolute pleasure of meeting so many sweet, and creative minds around me and this is what makes all the difference. Being in a space of creativity alone is only half the fun. Think of it like a book club, or a gym - it is so much more enjoyable with like-minded people around you.
The creative world is the same, you learn from one another, you collaborate on projects and you connect people. Working with other content creators is always so great, no excuses why so many pictures need to be taken, why we all only start eating when the perfect food shot has been taken or why we need to wear 3 different outfits to complete a shoot.
Find your true passion &
fuel it with all you have
I have truly seen the difference while living in different cities that being surrounded by like-minded people makes all the difference in this job. I am not here to give advice on how to find the best path, I know this is very different for everyone, but I wanted to share my thoughts and appreciation on this topic. I will not go into the negatives that come along with this job, because, for me, these are far outweighed by the positives! I believe if you truly have a passion to be a creator any bumps in the road will not feel so deep or hard to become frustrated over them. Lastly, what I will say to encourage all of you is: Be Kind in the process, only put out quality content and don't obsess over quantity but at the same time find your grove and be consistent. What do you love about your job??
