For us, staying with Fairmont Gold meant access to the Penthouse Lounge which featured a deluxe continental breakfast overlooking the Rocky Mountains, daily Afternoon Tea which also includes a candy bar and hot Hor D’Oeuvres in the evening. The stay included a nightly turn-down service which gets your suit ready for a restful sleep. These are all services that you should definitely both look into and request when you arrive. Booking a hotel with an attached spa is definitely the way to go! For us, it was the perfect way for us to stop and decompress before the festivities of Saturday night. A visit to the RNR Wellness The Spa, which is located right inside the Fairmont Palliser, was the perfect way for us to unwind. This hidden gem offers a wide range of women’s and men’s spa services including couples massages and spa facials. I enjoyed the most amazing pedicure while my husband checked out the fitness facilities and detoxed in the eucalyptus steam sauna. The pool and hot tub are the perfect (and easy) way to relax without having to commit to a service. The wonderful atmosphere left us equally relaxed and rejuvenated! And this is why we highly recommended booking yourself a tailored spa service before you get ready for your event.
SHOP YOUR SPARKLE LOOK
Nothing is as special as finding the perfect dress, clutch and pumps, or a crisp blazer and shiny lace-ups to seriously commemorate your festivities. For us, the excellent location of the Fairmont Palliser made it perfect to explore the downtown core. We stepped out of the lobby and within thirty seconds, we were walking down Stephen Avenue which offered a string of small shops, boutiques and also some big brand stores in Scotia Centre, Bankers Hall and the CORE. Whether you are just exploring or are looking for the perfect outfit to make your evening sparkle even more, these addresses will have you covered. The nightly turn-down service ensures your suite is ready and setup for the most relaxing sleep possible. With an ice refresh, fresh towels stocked, water bottles refilled and the bed un-tucked – you are ready to dive into bed. A delicious truffle was left on the bedside table and it literally melted on our tongues. This is a extraordinary treat that you can definitely not get at home. In the morning, we had a wake-up call scheduled and coffee and juice delivered to the room, right into our bedroom. Nothing beats morning brews in a crisp, ultra-comfortable bed.
Quite honestly speaking, while we have both always cherished our life events and made them special, we had not yet booked ourself a “staycation” to take our moments to the next level. Partnering with the Fairmont Palliser and getting to experience #FairmontMoment was truly the perfect finale to our life here in Canada. Spending a weekend at the Fairmont Palliser in our very own city and experiencing the level of relaxation, service and luxury, I can’t help but recommend for everyone to uplift their own life moments one step higher.
