During our few days in London, we wanted to make the most of our time between discovering the city itself, meeting some friends, London Collections Men and my birthday. As I am sure many of you have experienced yourselves, there is never enough time to see and do everything when in a new and exciting city. So before heading to some events on our third day, we decided to walk through the historic district of Westminster; from Victoria Station, past Buckingham Palace where the Queen’s Birthday Parade was just concluding, further towards Westminster Abbey, Big Ben and finally to Trafalgar Square. I cannot even pick a favourite because all of these sights have their own special charm, significant stories and physical architectural goodness. I loved the view of Westminster Abbey, Big Ben and the London Eye all in one pane. Based on this itinerary, I am so thankful that sneakers are very much still the “it footwear” item of the year!
As we were making our way to all these amazing monuments, the world-famous London rain caught us and forced us to hide under a large oak tree with several other London tourists, who must have also thought incorrectly that an umbrella in June would be unnecessary. So London lesson learnt: umbrellas are always necessary.
Thankfully, my outfit was very much fitting with layers and leather to protect me and my precious bag from the rain. Like I said, the sneakers were a life saver because there is no way that I could not have done this in Loubs! Yay for sneakers and yay for Adidas.
xx,
