As warmer temperatures are on its way, we can all put away our heavy knit scarves and instead opt for lightweight pieces to add to our outfits. Scarves to me are not just an accessory to tie around my neck. I have put together a few ways to accessorize with scarves that can spruce up your whole look.
Accessorize With Bows
Tie a scarf on your favorite purse to add some fun to your look. I tied the scarf into a bow and on to the strap of my bag. Depending on your scarf, you can add a pop of color or stay neutral, like I did here.
Drape It Over Your Shoulders
Taking advantage of the beautiful fabrics of high quality scarves, draping one over your shoulders on a hot day will create a refined and classy look. I love the flowy-ness of the fabrics in the wind and a huge bonus, it will also protect you from sunburns on a hot day! Instead of a jacket, try draping your favorite scarf over your shoulders.
Scarf Your Head
Either to add something interesting to your outfit, to protect your head from the summer heat or to combat a bad hair day – tying a scarf on your head might just be a the thing you were missing in your repertoire. I love this look, because again you can completely match the color or print or add a pop of something to your look.
