Natural,
Easy,
Healthy!
G ranola is such an essential in my kitchen and even though used to buy organic kinds, they still contain a load of sugary ingredients. I love adding it to my morning porridge, smoothy bowls or sometimes just snack on it without anything! I always thought it was so difficult and time consuming to make, but this recipe really is too easy! My mom gave me this recipe, which is completely sugar free, super quick and easy and MESS-FREE (if you follow my instructions). Of course you can add any seeds or ingredients that you like, just make sure you are able to bake them!
WHAT DO YOU NEED?
3 cups of oats
1/3 cup of chia sees
1/3 cup sunflower seeds
1/2 cup flax seeds
1/3 cup ground flax seeds (I used these black pepper ones and it gives the granola a kick!)
1/2 shredded coconut
1/3 almond slivers
1/3 cup coconut oil
1/3 cup maple syrup (only if you want the granola to be sweet)
To add after baking:
1/2 cup rasins or dried cranberries
1 tbs. turmeric
1 tbs. cinnamon
1/3 cup hemp hearts
Now add all the ingredients into a plastic bag, and mix the coconut oil and maple syrup until evenly spread. Then place the mixture onto a baking sheet and bake at 325 degrees for 25-30 min (while turning the granola once or twice). Make sure the granola has gotten some color! Now let it cool and add the remaining ingredients "after baking". You can add whatever seeds, dried fruit etc. - make it your own! And Enjoy!!
