Its the weekend once again! Time for metallic slides, my go-to side braid, and a pop of colour to brighten the mood (and the surrounding landscape around us!). We are thanking the fashion gods for the rise of the cropped trend, because the recent spike in temperatures in Calgary (which we are NOT complaining about) has mandated shorter pants and even shorter shirts. We are obsessed with this recent LA-rivalling weather we are getting to experience here in “cold” Canada. It calls for strappy Michael Kors sandals, a balmy palm-y dress and a mini cross-body from Marc by Marc Jacobs! We usually appreciate the cooler weather (for its layering and lengths capabilities), but we are not complaining about the recent heat wave!
We know Coachella is far behind us, but #FestivalSeason is here and now, and we can’t help but embrace the fun, boho-chic trend, especially when H&M is now selling their Coachella pieces on sale! This gorgeous lace crochet cardigan was a steal of a deal, and it really inspired us to pretend we were in California vibin’ out at the main stage!
I’m sure by now you’ve noticed a general theme – we are all about white this season! Be it in pants, in dresses, in separates, in shoes or in bags, we are obsessed with white. Its so easy to make a striking look with this relatively “boring” non-colour, don’t you think?
We finally found the perfect pair of white summer pumps – they go with everything! And especially today (my birthday!), they were my go-to pair to rock with this pastel coloured neoprene number – one of my favourites. And when its your special day, don’t ever hesitate to crown yourself like the queen that you are. I know it did!
Nothing is more exciting about the arrival of Spring then pulling out all the rosy coloured pieces that perfectly match the gorgeous blossoming trees! Easy, breezy and fun – that is definitely our mission lately. It keeps life fun and care-free, or at least as care-free as is possible. But how can you not be in fluttering mood when these fairytale like trees are around you, a breeze is blowing and the sun in shining? #LovingSpring
